Antsurgent is made by End Key Studios. We built it to be played, not to collect data about you. This page says exactly what the game keeps and sends.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
You don't sign up or log in. The game shows no ads and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and the website sets no cookies.
What stays on your device
Your progress (stars, unlocked levels), your settings and the name and colour you choose for online play are saved in your browser's storage on your own device. They never leave it unless you play online (below). Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them.
Playing online with friends
When you create or join a room, the game connects to our room server and sends the name, colour and colony you picked, and your moves during the match. The server keeps this in memory only while the room is open, so the people in your room can see it, and forgets it when the room closes. It is not written to disk, sold or shared. To stop one address from opening a flood of rooms, the server briefly counts room creations per IP address, in memory, for one minute.
Win counts for a room are kept the same way and disappear with the room.
Hosting
The website and the game are served through Cloudflare, which handles the network traffic (including IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. Our own server keeps standard short-lived technical logs to keep the service running and secure.
Children
The game does not ask for or collect personal information from anyone. The only text you type is a nickname for online rooms; we suggest not using your real name.
